Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 10th day of March 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss requests from:

1. Abass Al-Saeedi to rezone a 19.84-acre tract known as parcel 053 006, located at 0 Allred Mill Rd, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create 5 buildable lots.

2. Christine Van Der Walt, on behalf of Rock Creek Manor LLC, to rezone a 8.98-acre tract, known as parcel 064 102 005, located at 400 Cagle Mill Rd South, from Agricultural (AG) to Highway Business (HB). The purpose of this request is to add a Senior Living Memory Care facility to existing Rock Creek Manor property.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on April 21st, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 17th day of March 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Conference Room, Suite 168, located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Pickens County Board of Commissioners.

The purpose of the hearing is to discuss a request from Sherry Copeland, on behalf of Gary Copeland, to rezone a 7.86-acre parcel, known as parcel #045 074, located on Cove Road from Rural Residential (RR) to Agriculture (AG). The purpose of this request is to combine this tract with the adjoining AG parcels.
