Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 14th day of April 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss:

1. A request from Dennis and Onuma D'Alessandro, on behalf of Roland Buchanan, to rezone a 3.01-acre portion of a 50.5-acre tract, known as parcel 064 079, located at Cagle Mill Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this to facilitate the creation of a residential lot. [WITHDRAWN]

2. A request from Charles Hoetink to rezone 1-acre of a 30.61-acre tract, known as 002 001 007, located at 119 Inland Drive, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to combine 1-acre with existing Estate Residential lot.

3. A request from James Dean to rezone 2.2-acre tract known as parcel 034 084 204, located at Big Ridge Road, from Rural Residential (RR) to Suburban Residential (SR). The purpose of this request is to create two residential lots.

4. A request from Dan Pool on behalf of Pool's Farm LLC, for a Conditional-Use Permit on a 367-acre tract, known as parcels 051 003 and 051 003 003, located at 8269 Hwy 53 East, to allow for Jeep Fest, Paint Ball, Rodeo, Model Airplane Club and Church Sponsored Events.

5. A request from Kevin and Karyn Smith for a Conditional-Use Permit on a 20-acre tract, known as parcel 065 010, located at 834 Worley Crossroads, to allow for Farm Tours, Small Events, and Cooking Classes.

6. A request from Brandon and Brett Roland to rezone 35.913-acre tract, known as parcels 018 030 and 018 030 004, located at 726 Hwy 136 Connector, from Agriculture (AG) to Estate Residential (ER). The purpose of this request is to create 7 buildable lots.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on May 19th, 2025, at 5:30 p.m.
