NOTICES

Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 8th day of July 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia.

The purpose of the hearing is to discuss:

1. A rezone request from Curtis Roper to rezone a 6.23-acre portion of parcel #069 027 003 located on Eagle Perch Road, Ball Ground, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to sell the property to an individual with the intent to construct a single-family dwelling.

2. A rezone request from Shaun Noe to rezone a 5.57-acre parcel, #045 073 016, located at 356 Drop Shot Drive, Jasper, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request be able to build another single-family dwelling on the property.

3. A rezone request from Tony Hollifield to rezone a 1-acre portion of parcel #028 022 001 located at 2251 Grandview Road from Rural Residential (RR) to Suburban Residential (SR). The purpose of this request is to split the portion of land with the existing mobile home from the applicant's primary residence with the intent to refinance.

4. A rezone request from Charles Hoetink to rezone a 6-acre portion of parcel #002 001 007 located at 119 Inland Drive, Talking Rock, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to split the 6-acre portion into two lots for resale.

The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on August 19th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
