MORE INFORMATION
Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held on the 12th day of November 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Pickens Room located at the Pickens County Administration Building, 1266 East Church Street, Jasper, Georgia, before the Planning Commission of Pickens County, Georgia. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss:
1. A request from Bayli Bozeman on behalf of Sean Bozeman to rezone a 6.09-acre tract, known as parcel 043C 164, located at 2414 Highway 53 East, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to build an additional single-family dwelling.
2. A request from David and Maria Walker to rezone a combined 16.88-acre tract, known as parcel 037 077 002 and 037 077 003, located at 787 Watson Lake Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Small Agriculture (SA). The purpose of this request is to combine the two tracts of land and build a single-family dwelling.
3. A request from Nadine Harrison to obtain a conditional use permit for a personal care home on a 1.04-acre tract, known as parcel 043C 120, located at 30 Arrowhead Lane. The purpose of this request is to operate a 2-bed hospice care business in her existing residence.
4. A request from Rhonda Lane to rezone a 10.52-acre tract, known as parcel 056 011 004, located at 1303 Matthews Road, from Agriculture (AG) to Rural Residential (RR). The purpose of this request is to sell a 4.26-acre portion of land.
The recommendation of the Planning Commission will be brought before the Board of Commissioners on December 16th, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.
