THIS WEEKEND'S HIGHLIGHTS by VISIT PICKENS

Thursday, February 5
The weekend begins with creativity and community. The Pickens County Library hosts a "Forever Flowers" origami workshop at 2 pm. Later, Talking Rock Brewery hosts its popular Open Mic Night with Rusted Melody at 5 pm - a perfect spot to enjoy local talent. Rocco's Pub also hosts Poker starting at 7 pm.

Friday, February 6
Friday night brings friendly competition to Talking Rock. Hard Hitting Trivia kicks off at Talking Rock Brewery at 7 pm, offering a great atmosphere for teams. For live music lovers, Rocco's Pub features Evan Williams & The Chasers starting at 8 pm.

Saturday, February 7
Saturday offers a mix of unique events. The Pickens County Library hosts free educational and art sessions in the morning and early afternoon. Fainting Goat Vineyards celebrates with a Groundhog's Day Party at 1 pm, featuring live music. In the afternoon, Talking Rock Brewery hosts Live Music by Stephen Vaclavik at 4 pm. Evening options include a Ghost Hunt at The Old Pickens County Jail and live bands at local venues.

Sunday, February 8
Sunday wraps up with skill-building and relaxation. Northern Roots Farm presents an "Intro to Preparedness" class, while JAX Coffee Company offers a "Faith, Hope, Love Paint & Sip." Visitors can also enjoy afternoon live music at Fainting Goat Vineyards and Rocco's Pub.

America 250 Challenge
The America 250 Challenge invites participants to honor the nation's 250th anniversary by moving 250 miles across Pickens County before July 4, 2026. Whether walking downtown or hiking Burnt Mountain, every mile counts. Participants can earn stickers and limited-edition t-shirts by logging their progress.
