THIS WEEKEND'S HIGHLIGHTS by VISIT PICKENS
Thursday, September 11, kicks off the weekend with events for everyone. You can enjoy Open Mic Night with Rusted Melody at Talking Rock Brewery or "Copper Still Sessions" at Sharptop Distilling Co. For those looking to relax, there's yoga at the Pickens County Rec Department.
Friday, September 12, brings a variety of activities to know about. Be sure to check out the Pickens Community Health & Wellness Fair on the Chattahoochee Tech campus. The evening features the ArtWalk in Downtown Jasper, along with live music and Hard Hitting Trivia at Talking Rock Brewery.
Saturday, September 13, is packed with opportunities to explore the county. Start your morning at the Jasper Farmers Market at Lee Newton Park. Later, head to the Grape Stomp Festival at Canoe Vineyard & Winery or a Cornhole Tournament hosted by the Rotary Club of Jasper. For live music, you can enjoy a performance by the Lee Cox Band at Talking Rock Brewery or catch other acts at Fainting Goat Vineyards, Old Mulehouse, and Rocco's Pub.
Sunday, September 14, offers a chance to wind down with more live music. The lineup includes performances by Whiskey Magnolia, Patton Childers, and Jesse Williams at various venues around the county. You can also catch a special presentation on The History of Talking Rock by Chris Feldt at Talking Rock Brewery
at 3 PM.
First Weekend in October The Georgia Marble Festival
Mark your calendars for our Georgia Marble Festival, celebrating Pickens County's rich heritage as the "Marble Capital of Georgia." The weekend kicks off on Saturday with a thrilling road race and a festive parade. You can also get your new festival shirts and quarry tour tickets for a rare chance to explore the world-famous marble quarries up close. With arts and crafts vendors, delicious food, live entertainment, and a free Kids Zone at Lee Newton Park, the Georgia Marble Festival is a can't-miss fall tradition in the North Georgia mountains!
