[ January 20, 2020 ] Chattahoochee Technical College announces the selection of Heather Pence, of Pickens County, as the college?s new vice president of Administrative Services and Technology.
Pence brings 19 years of experience to this position, after starting her career with the Georgia Department of Audits and then working for the past 15 years at colleges of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG). Since 2016, she served at Chattahoochee Tech as the college?s executive director of compliance, reporting and financial services.
?Throughout her career, Heather has developed excellent working relationships in Audits, with the TCSG System Office, and with our sister colleges around the state,? said Chattahoochee Technical College President Dr. Ron Newcomb. ?She also brings the experience, skills and knowledge, and ethics which are all indispensable to this position.?
An active member of the Pickens County community, where she resides with her husband and two children, Pence serves on the Board of Directors for the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce. She also served previously as treasurer for the Pickens High School ?Pride of Pickens? Band. As a graduate of North Georgia College and State University, Pence earned a bachelor?s degree in Accounting. She then earned an MBA at Reinhardt University. She currently is working toward a doctorate in Public Administration.
