Atlanta VA Health Care System to Open Pickens County VA Clinic

[ August 27, 2020 ] The Atlanta VA Health Care System (VAHCS) is pleased to announce the opening of our new Pickens County VA Clinic, located at 934 East Church Street, Jasper, GA, 30143, on August 31, 2020. In addition to Primary Care services, this location will also offer Mental Health, Telehealth Specialty Eye, and Audiology services.

We are always honored to serve our Veterans.

Enrolled Veterans, with access to MyHealtheVet Premium, may use this link to send a secure message to the assigned Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to request a transfer to this new clinic or call the telephone advice line (TAP) 404-329-2222.

We encourage all Veterans not enrolled in VA health care to do so by using the following information:

? Health care applications are processed within a week.

Veterans may also enroll via telephone: 1-877-222-8387. Monday thru Friday, 8:00am ? 8:00pm ET. If more than a week has passed since the application submission date, please do not apply again. Instead, call 1-877-222-8387 for more information.

"The new Pickens County VA Clinic will increase access and ensure that our Veterans continue to receive the high-quality health care that they have earned and deserve closer to their home," Atlanta VA Health Care System Director Ann Brown said.

"We are always trying to improve services for our Veterans, and the new Pickens County VA Clinic helps us do just that," Brown added.

Due to COVID 19, the new Pickens County VA clinic and all our outpatient clinics and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) are open for telehealth visits. Only clinically urgent face to face visits are being conducted. These visits require approval in advance and Veterans who present without an appointment will be encouraged to schedule telehealth visits via MyHealtheVet.

Veterans are encouraged to contact their primary care PACT for non-emergent medical needs using either the MyHealtheVet website secure messaging options featured on the website or by calling the TAP line 404-329-2222.
