Rotary Gives $16,000 to Local Non-Profits
Receiving checks from Jasper Rotary at their weekly meeting were: Leslie Miller, Fill-A-Stocking, Pat Thuman Hope House, Frank Leist, Veteran?s Park, Cassie Rasco, Boys & Girls Club, Gina Pendley, Ga Mtn Hospice and Debbie Rooker, Burnt Mountain Center. [ December 16, 2020 ] "Our nonprofits have been hit hard due to lack of normal fund raising and our Board decided to give ALL of our Golf Tournament proceeds back to the community at one time," stated Rotary President Max Caylor.

The $16,000 came from Rotary's Golf Tournament in August due to local businesses sponsorships and players.

"We greatly appreciate our sponsors and players for their support especially in a difficult year dealing with the virus," said Golf Tourney Chairperson Gina Pendley!

The Rotary Club of Jasper is a group of community minded business persons and professionals who strive to better themselves and the community by living their motto of "service above self."

Club membership is open and meetings are each Wednesday at noon at Chattahoochee Tech. Masks, social distancing and other safety measures are in place for the meetings. They can also be attended by Zoom. For more information go to jaspergarotary.org.
