[ August 31, 2021 ] The Ruth House Board of Directors recently announced the installment of their new Executive Director, Penny Haynes. After careful consideration of candidates, Ms. Haynes' qualifications and organizational skills were a perfect match for the Ruth House vision.

Pastor Penny Haynes is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Licensed Pastoral Counselor. She and her husband, Ronnie, have led Recovery Programs starting with Celebrate Recovery since 2011. Penny has been a featured Presenter at the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia, as well as the National Christian Counselors Association. The Ruth House, a residential Christ-centered THOR certified and GARR approved substance abuse recovery program, fosters women into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ as a fundamental step towards self-awareness and recovery. While living at the Ruth House, the ladies experience structure, Christian discipleship, life skills training, and the opportunity to complete their GED, if needed.

Restoring families is a key benefit to Ruth House graduates. Over the years, the Ruth House has helped hundreds of women come to know the Lord, change the direction of their lives, and see their children and families restored and reunited in the love of Christ.

After a difficult 2020, the Ruth House is now able to resume their fundraising efforts and are happy to announce The Ruth House Annual Gala on Oct 21st, Thursday, 6 PM at Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper.
