[ January 19, 2022 ] Pickens County School District will continue virtual learning for students and school staff for the remainder of the week due to the impact of COVID on our transportation department. We have exhausted all resources and are not able to cover bus routes for numerous students due to the large number of drivers and staff who are not able to work.

We had announced our return to school just a short time ago; however, we have since been notified of the situation with transportation. We wanted to let our families know as quickly as possible so you can plan for your child and family.
As we have continued to state since January of last year, we will transition to virtual learning when our staff numbers are significant in one or more schools or departments. This is our current situation.

If you have any questions pertaining to your child?s assignments or accessing the itsLearning platform, you should email your child?s teacher. Their email address is their first and last name (no spaces) followed by @pickenscountyschools.org. (i.e., johndoe@pickenscountyschools.org).


For staff: Twelve-month employees should continue to report to your work locations. If you are unclear as to whether you should report or not, please contact your building principal or supervisor for clarification.
