[ March 03, 2022 ] UPDATE: NETTES lose a close one to Marist 38-35.

On behalf of Superintendent Young and Board of Education members, the district would like to congratulate the PHS Nettes on their outstanding achievement of securing a spot in the Final Four of the GHSA State Basketball Tournament.

Friday, March 4, 2022, the Nettes will travel to Ft. Valley State University in Ft. Valley, GA to play Marist at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the game must be purchased online at www.gofan.com and GHSA has set the price for tickets at $15. GHSA also has specific spectator guidelines for the game and those are on the scrolling marquee on the district?s webpage (www.pickenscountyschools.org).

We invite the community to join us in cheering the Nettes to another win! At approximately 8:45 a.m. tomorrow, the team will travel from South Main St. to Stegall Drive, down by JMS, and then travel Highway 53 West to 515 South. Choose your spot along the route, bring your signs and let us give them a true Dragon Nation send-off! [VIDEO ABOVE]

In celebration of the Nettes earning a spot in the Final Four, any student wishing to attend the game may check out early and the checkout will be excused.
