[ July 18, 2022 ] Habitat for Humanity Pickens County GA is proud to announce The First Annual Humanitarian Charity Golf Classic sponsored by DISCOVER Global Network! The tournament will be held at Big Canoe Country Club on August 22, 2022.

Kevin Jordan, Head of U.S. Acquirer Relations at Discover said, "As one of Discover's core values of volunteerism, we understand the importance of and are committed to giving back to the community."

Funds raised from the golf tournament will go towards developing Phase II of New Hope Acres which will allow Habitat to partner with additional future homeowners to make their dream of home ownership come true.

"Expanding Hope Street in New Hope Acres will help us with our mission of building a community one home at a time; changing lives, giving hope and securing the future for the families we serve", said Monique Vinelli, President Habitat Board of Director.

New Hope Acres presently has five Habitat homeowner families. There are two additional lots in Phase I of New Hope Acres and homeowner family #21 was recently chosen. Phase II of New Hope Acres will allow for an additional eight homes!
