[ October 17, 2022 ] October 8th brought new hours to the last leg of the 23rd season of the Jasper Farmers Market. After a Saturday off for Marble Festival, the morning of the eighth brought in over 60 vendors and beautiful weather for our Customer Appreciation Day.
That day also saw the last of the seasons green beans and okra. But in turn, it welcomes in fall crops of greens, radishes and winter squash.
This past Saturday, the 15th, was an equally beautiful morning. Considering we counted at least four festivals going on this past weekend, our little market drew over forty vendors with a wide array of things to choose from. Vendors wares are showing the change of the season with fall decorations and pumpkins of different shapes, sizes and materials.
As your mind starts thinking of gift giving, remember there many quality, handmade items available at your local market. We will be open every Saturday thru December 10th, from 9-1 in the park & ride lot.
So come on by, drop off your turkey carving knife for Tony to sharpen up, grab a cup of coffee and a pie for breakfast and do some great outdoor shopping. And on your way out, grab a sorbet and maybe a sweet treat for Sunday dinner. Which by the way, if you?re looking for meat for supper or morning breakfast, check out our new vendor Riggin Farm for some local meat and eggs.
Again I?d like to say a heartfelt thanks to all our patrons. It?s been a great 23 years, and this year has amazed me with the incredible vendor support also. I?m looking forward to our 24th season already, after a short winters rest of course! But first, let?s finish this year off supporting local artist, growers and crafters.
See you Saturday!
