[ November 28, 2022 ] So, cold pressed is faster, but rougher and hot pressed is slower and smoother? Talking with the various vendors who make soaps you?ll learn that soap making is not so simple! Nick and Ashley Riggin of Riggin Farm offer soaps made with both processes, along with pasture raised meat and eggs, fresh produce and flowers.

Christy & Scott Myerscough of Honey Belle Hill Homestead also offer artisan soaps along with herbal salves, eggs, honey, teas and select goods for health and home.

Elizabeth and Trent Henry of SGT Peppers Farm offer the best of hot pepper jellies. The mildest of which is a Charapita. Bright yellow and great over cream cheese for the holiday snack tray. But, even better, and milder is their Blueberry Charapita jelly! It was a hit at Thanksgiving and will be the star at Christmas. Or for those with braver taste buds, try any of their other hot choices for your morning breakfast or holiday party.

Handcrafted and homemade jellies, soaps, and jewelry are great for gift giving. There are only two weeks left of the Jasper Farmers Market for this year and if you are in need of stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, or secret elf surprises, come to the market! There are plenty of great choices to check off the Christmas list or add pizzazz to your party!

And stop by to pick up some frozen Fancy Fruit Sorbet from Vivian Tritt to keep in the freezer. Like her business card states, ?Treat Yourself Better!? You can?t go wrong with non-dairy coconut milk based fancy fruit sorbet in a large variety of flavors.

And if you need something unique and colorful let?s hope Brenda Romesberg will be back with her stained glass artwork. She captures nature through color. Haley Gilstrap of Rustic Cowgirl Creations offers up western themed jewelry.

You?ll meet quite the variety of people at the Jasper Farmers Market offering quite the variety of goods, services, creations, and deliciousness. Please come see them all at our last two markets of the year and fill up a bag with Zack Henson?s spaghetti squash.

The JFM is sponsored by the PCMG, Pickens County Master Gardeners. The market is located by Lee Newton Memorial Park in the Park N Ride parking lot across from the Veterans Memorial. We truly appreciate all the vendors and customers who make the Jasper Farmers Market possible.

Thank you all!
