[ December 14, 2022 ] On Sunday December 4th, The Jasper Lions Club hosted the 42nd Annual North Georgia Toy Run sponsored by Custom Riders MC Greg Hartman T/F Cycles Steelhorse Law for lunch at the Pickens Chamber Building Porch. The ride was in memory of Tommy Shaw, who was beloved by all!
Around 900 motorcycles participated in the ride with the riders bringing toys for the Jasper Lions Club Fill A Stocking project. Each year they bring such a generous supply of new toys, it warms our hearts. We cannot thank them enough. We also appreciate our local law enforcement for escorting the motorcycles through Pickens County.
We also want to thank the Pickens 4-H Club members who helped us organize, pack up and move the toys to our collection center. Traci Buckingham and Melvina Carlan are the leaders of this fine group of young people. Payton and Dawn Silvers also assisted the 4-H club.
