City of Jasper Employment Opportunities

[ February 13, 2024 ] The City of Jasper is now accepting applications for the following positions:

The Mayor and Council shall appoint a City Manager who shall be the Chief Executive Officer and the head of the administrative branch of the city government.

This position is responsible for the operation of the water treatment plant.

This position performs fire prevention and suppression, emergency medical service, and rescue activities.

This position is responsible for patrolling within the city limits to control traffic, prevent crimes and arrest violators.

This position is an entry level position for planning professionals. The purpose of this position is to provide accurate information to the public, professionals and colleagues regarding development within the City of Jasper.

This position performs duties related to the maintenance of city streets, grounds and infrastructure.

This position performs duties related to installing, maintaining, repairing, servicing, enlarging and relocating water and sewer lines.

Documentation is required for education and experience to determine exact pay. All positions will be provided a uniform to work with exception to admin position.

Benefits for Full Time positions include Medical - Tier amounts, Dental - 100% employer paid for employee only, Vision - Tier amounts, Short-term - 60% weekly income, Long-term - 60% weekly income and AD&D Insurance. Employer-Paid Retirement, Employer-Paid Life Insurance (Employee-25k, Spouse $5k, Children $2500. Per child), Employer-Paid Police Officer Annuity and Benefit of GA retirement (POAB) and GA Firefighter Pension, Hartford Firefighter Cancer Coverage. Accrual paid Sick, Vacation and (13) Holidays Leave.
