[ June 03, 2024 ] At last! The Jasper Farmers Market had a full parking lot for the vendor filled market day. The weather was great and many smiling faces were to be seen.

Vivian Tritt and hubby of Fancy Fruit Sorbet were in their director chairs keeping an eye out for the next possible star or possibly a customer looking at their list of delicious sorbet flavors. Non-dairy and always delicious, the list of flavors is long; Chocolate Banana, Pina Colada, and Georgia Peach are three great choices. Which flavor will you try?

The bread bakers are kneading their loaves with love and deliciousness. The produce people are really producing with this ideal weather. Plant people have their pots full of veggies, ornamentals, and house plants.

There are a lot of woodworkers, too! Trellis, cutting boards, clever signs, containers, benches and much more are available. Don't forget, you can get your kitchen knives or garden tools sharpened at Y-Not Sharp.

The next Saturday market will feature the Pickens County Master Gardeners tent with a garden lesson, plants for sale, and MGs on hand to answer gardening questions.

The market opens at 7:30am and runs until noon. It is located in the Park-N-Ride parking lot across from the Veterans Memorial Park. The Summer Wednesday Farmers Market will be starting later this month and will run from 11 am until 1 pm.
