Jasper Farmers Market Report

[ July 25, 2024 ] With the promise of a rainy day, there were still several brave souls under tents condensed for easier shopping for the brave customers who did not let the rain keep them away. As the earliest rain left the market shopping for fresh vegetables, delicious breads, crafted wood creations, and more became pretty easy.

Some puddles to splash in or avoid depending on one's preferences were abundant. Certainly it started out as a day for the ducks, but those who persevered were not quacking with complaints. And those who did shop got some real treats like grapes, peaches, and figs!

Tomatoes, patty pan squash, garlic, green beans, yellow squash, butter lettuce and much more graced the tables of the produce producers. The bread bakers certainly have their fans. Sour dough, jalapeno cheddar, and sweet delights like cinnamon rolls are just a few of the offerings.

McNairs offered artsy crafts along with their smiles. Jenny had sunny yellow sunflowers for anyone wanting to brighten up their homes.

Don't let the rain keep you away from the Jasper Farmers Market. Wear a hat, tote an umbrella, it will be worth the visit to acquire some wonderful decor, delicious jams and jellies, plus, handmade items for gifts, like jewelry, unique wood crafts, or artwork. There are a lot of talented people at the JFM.

Come and see what (and who) is new each week. And remember, there is a Wednesday market from 11am until 1pm in the same spot; the Park N Ride parking lot across from the Veterans Memorial Park.
