FRIENDS of the Pickens County Library
The Friends of the Pickens County Library have gently used books available for purchase any time the library is open! The board members of Friends of the Pickens Library stock the shelves and collect the case and check from the black box near the book display. You can also pay using your credit card and the QR code. The Friends of the Pickens County Library bookshelf is located inside the Pickens County Library.

Drop in for Lego Lab! Registration is not required, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Storytime
September 4, 10:30 AM

Family Storytimes are designed for families with children of all ages. This program features stories, singing, dancing, fingerplays and crafts. All children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Career Spotlight: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Chattahoochee Technical

Upcycled Vinyl Record Painting for Teens

Teens! Get creative at the Pickens County Library and turn a scratched vinyl record into a new work of art by painting your own design over them. All supplies, including acrylic paint and records, will be provided. Registration required.

Plants and Paints
September 13, 3:00 PM

Come and join the Pickens County Master Gardeners at our Pickens County Library for an informative and fun session learning about Plants/Gardening and creating your own art! Explore the many ways to utilize your summer grown herbs. Then you will create an Autumn Welcome Sign. Registration is Required.

Baron the Reading Dog
September 17, 4:00 PM

Join us at Pickens County to read to Baron the Reading Dog! Register for a 15-minute slot to read in a stress-free environment. Time slots run between 4:00-5:30pm. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Lee Newton Park Pop-Up Storytime
September 17, 10:00 AM

Join us at Lee Newton Park's pavilion for a Pop-up Library and a storytime! Our storytimes support early literacy with books, songs, and fingerplays. After the storytime, stay for our Pop-Up Library to get a new card, return your books, or borrow new ones! No registration is required. All children must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Local Author Market
September 24, 4:00 PM

Interested in discovering new local authors or are a local author yourself and want to show off your work? Join us for our annual Local Author Market! This event will feature a local author marketplace as well as an author mix & mingle before the market opens. Make sure to visit each author's table to learn more about their work. Authors who are interested in participating as a seller must register or email trahanm@seqlib.org.

STEM Creation Station
September 26, 4:00 PM

Come for a fun filled STEM afternoon! We will be building a structure to enclose Old MacDonald's animals. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

BINGO with Friends!
September 27, 10:00 AM

B-I-N-G-O! All are invited to stop by the Pickens County Library for a fabulous game of BINGO! Winners will receive Bookstore Bucks to our Friends of the Library Book Sale!

American Red Cross Blood Drive
September 30, 1:00 PM

The American Red Cross is scheduled to hold a blood drive in the Community Room 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Donors should schedule their appointment directly with the Red Cross.
