Christmas Belles Opens After Thanksgiving
Rehearsing to make you laugh are: (L-R) April Miller as Twink Futrelle, Alex Nawrocki as Deputy John Curtis Buntner, and Audrey Kirsten as Geneva Musgrave.

[ November 06, 2024 ] The Tater Patch Players are very excited to tell you about our final show for 2024. Jones Hope Wooten's Christmas Belles takes us to the fictional but familiar town of Fayro, Texas. There, the hilarious Futrelle Sisters and all their friends and relations have come back to life to put on what they believe will be the best Christmas program at the Tabernacle of the Lamb.

This play brings some new faces and some returning and familiar faces to our stage. Some of the "familiars" haven't been on Tater Patch's stage in a long time, and we are absolutely tickled pink to have them back.

Audrey Kirsten and Steve Lewis are Geneva and Reynard, town characters who have lots of wit AND wisdom to share with the Futrelles.

Those three Futrelle sisters are sure to delight: Honey Ray is played by Kerry Rosewall, Twink by April Miller, and Frankie by Nancy Loy. Betsy Robbe is Gina Jo, representing the next generation of Futrelles. Her dad, Sheriff Dub Dubberly brings Calvin Smith back to our stage after far too long. We are delighted to see him!

Alex Nawrocki and Eve Sauer round out the familiar faces. But, as always, we try to bring you new talent, so we're proud to introduce Don Goodner, playing Justin, and Carrie Cochems as Rhoda Lynn Lampley.

So much talent! And it's our way of giving you lots of laughs and some Christmastime happiness!

They're all rehearsing hard right now, directed by Jan Simpson who is assisted by Eve Sauer. Even our wonderful box office Queen, Jeff Duval, is taking on a new role as Stage Manager of this wonderful show.

We can't wait to see you all. The show opens the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 29, at 7:30 pm. Then November 30 and December 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15. The Sunday shows are at 2 pm and the rest at 7:30 pm.

Tickets are on sale now at www.taterpatchplayers.org.
