[ January 19, 2025 ] The National Weather Service has issued a high-confidence alert for an extended cold spell. Temperatures in north and central Georgia dropped below freezing late last night and are expected to remain so until Thursday afternoon. The Warming Shelter at Revolution Church will be open overnight from January 19th through the 21st.

Please make sure to protect the 5 P's:
1. PROTECT PEOPLE - Stay warm, dry and indoors. Provide extra care to children and elderly neighbors.
2. PROTECT PETS - Bring pets inside and make arrangements for large animals.
3. PROTECT PLANTS - Cover cold-sensitive plants to protect them from dangerous temperatures.
4. PROTECT PIPES - Cover outdoor pipes and let outside faucets slowly drip to prevent freezing and breaking.
5. PRACTICE FIRE SAFETY - Use safe heating sources indoors. Have a working smoke detector in your home.

Monday, January 20 from 7 pm - 7 am
Tuesday, January 21 from 7 pm - 7 am
