[ February 12, 2025 ] In a heartwarming celebration, eight-year-old Noelle "Noey" Springer of Pickens County rang the end-of-treatment bell at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in Atlanta. Adorned with a pink unicorn horn and a shirt proclaiming "I kicked cancer's butt," Noey is ready to enjoy life with fewer hospital visits and more playtime.

Noey's leukemia diagnosis in 2022 turned her family's world upside down, but the community's support made all the difference. "Our community really came together when Noey was diagnosed," said Diane, Noey's mom. "From meals and funds to everyday help and special celebrations for our girls, we couldn't have managed without them."

Diagnosed with B-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Noey's resilience through treatment earned her the title of one of the 2024 Miracle Children by Children's Miracle Network. Sharing their journey throughout the final year of her treatment, Noey and her family raised awareness and funds to support other children in similar battles.

"For her age, she has an incredible understanding and strength," says Nick Springer, Noey's dad. "Despite everything, she still wants to play, sing, dance, and help others. That is true bravery."
